WELL GEL LONDON REVIEW: 1 Step Gel System

Here are some gorgeous Gel Colours that Well Gel London sent me to review:

Jaded – A Forest Green Colour
Stonehenge – Light Grey/Stone
Popping Candy Purple Shimmer with Pink and Blue Glitter
Melbeck – Dark Claret Colour

Jaded This one reminds me of the leaves I have on my Jade Tree, this is a gorgeous colour, it would look great used in a nature themed nail art.  It reminds me of the Gucci green stripe in their logo.  I actually don’t have a colour similar to this.  I do have few ideas in mind for nail art.

Stonehenge This colour is very, ‘stone’, coloured.  Mixed with Cloudy Day it makes a creamy marble mix of colour.  It is a very simple colour but none the less I have a few mani ideas in mind.  Paired with silver and dark colours this would look very classy.

Popping Candy I was pleasantly surprised with this colour.  Purple is my favourite colour but this particular purple caught my attention in the light it showed me some sparkle two toned glitter of pink and blue very unusually pretty I’m in love for sure!  This would look stunning with Pink Champagne Glitter Chrome on top of it.

Melbec This one has a lovely luxurious depth of colour, like a rich red wine or Claret.  Quite a Gothic colour on one end of the scale to the dark red leaves of the poinsettia plant for a more festive design.  If you aren’t into reds but lean to the darker side of these colours this may be for you! This will also suit all skin tones.

Well Gel is a Vegan brand which is also chemical free.  They strives to achieve safer products available in the nail industry without losing out on quality of their product.  As always I cured these in my LED lamp, 30sec’s per nail.  These cure with no sticky/tacky layer and could be used without topcoat.  Well Gel do sell a topcoat called Diamond Topcoat.  Using this will prevent chipping and make your mani just look amazing.

Check out my Instagram page @handieworksnails for mani ideas I come up with using these gels., stay tuned!

Reviewing Ceramic Gels:Well Gel London

Today I bring you a review of the Ceramic Gel colours from Well Gel London. They are a vegan brand which aim to offer a safer product and are also chemical free. I was kindly sent some gels from them to reiview.

Here is what they sent me:

  • · Baby Doll - Summer/ Girly Pink Colour
  • · Sweetie Pie - Pinkish Red Colour
  • · Passion - Dark Burgundy/Red/Mulberry Colour
  • · Chocolate Brownie - Cadbury Chocolate Vibe

Baby Doll:  First off we have Baby Doll.  It is a very sheer yet sparkly gel over natural nails, over white I applied 2-3 thin coats which made the colour pop a whole lot better.  I think this colour could be for the newbie to colour; from mild to vivid.  When I saw the final result it looked like a light bubblegum pink colour, very nice indeed and perfect for a lovely sunny holiday, also gorgeous over a french manicure to give a little bit of sparkle.  I can't compare this to anything in my polish collection I don't have this colour which also made me more excited for this colour.

Sweetie Pie:  Next we have Sweetie Pie, this is a Pinkish Red colour there is also an orangey vibe from this like orangey red with a pink like shine to it only spotted in certain angles or light but I fell in love with this I actually don't have a similar colour to this gel polish either which was so cool. I think this colour would look great on sun tanned skin, although it would look nice on others too.  I actually quite liked it, even on my fair skin it looked gorgeous.

Passion:  Such a rich colour, so pretty.  I actually love these sorts of colours, gothic sort of but also autumn/winter cosy.  I know so extreme in that explanation, I am actually formulating nail art ideas using this colour so check out my instagram for updates on that. Anyways, it went on so smooth and would actually be a one coater very highly pigmented although I always add 2 which made this look so much more gorgeous, when I swatched this I instantly smiled and had to put this on my nails.  I think this would look good with the chrome glitter over this another mani idea hmm..

Chocolate Brownie:  As a lover of chocolate and colours like these mostly chocolate though, this reminded me of a rich warming cup of Hot Chocolate on a cold evening very comforting.  A very delicious looking colour, has a slight mauve undertone to it.  Reminds me of a Polish I have which is PS.. Instagirl One Coat - It Girl.  I will most definitely be wearing this colour often and actually have a mani in my mind for this colour which is coffee related for sure.  I also think this colour would go well with Passion as the two colours would compliment each other.

With all of these Ceramic Gels no top coat is required, I cured this in my Melodie Suzie LED Lamp for 30 sec's each layer of gel and when I applied the top coat it took 60 sec's and made them even more vibrant and shiny, they cure with no sticky/tacky layer, have a lovely glossy shine, and last 2-3 weeks there was no chipping and the colours looked so good outside in natural light.Well Gel do a Diamond Topcoat which can be used to add more wear to your mani and also is used for the mirror chrome glitter kits.

I had no issues with the items I was sent over to review they applied very easily and quickly minimal streaking and looked absolutely stunning when on the nails.

I'm Back - Well Gel Review

Hiya everyone sorry I haven't been on here I caught the Instagram bug and forgot about you guys, as always if you want to add me on there its: @handieworksnails I mainly post of on there.

Anyways lets get to the items I was sent from WellGelLondon:

  • Pucker Up - a burnt orange/Brick Red Colour
  • Kiss and Tell - Pastel Pink Colour
  • That's so Mint - Reminds me of Tiffany Boxes
  • Fusion - Burgundy/Mulberry Colour
  • Mirror Chrome Kit - 025 Mirror Chrome
  • Mirror Chrome Kit - 030 Lantern Green
Today I bring you a review and testing of some items that were sent to me from Well Gel London, they strive to bring Vegan safe products through their brand and to bring innovative technology to the nail tech industry without losing out on quality products.

Firstly we have Kiss and Tell this truly to me is a colour I could use as strawberry ice cream on some nail art, add some sprinkles and ta'dah. If you are familiar with Primark Polishes the only way I can describe this polish colour is Primark Instagirl - Mayfair. A colour I wear during spring/summer time when Sandals appear and Gym Shoes hide. This is a very pretty colour. It applies a little streaky on first coat but after applying the second it leveled out a bit better, I actually had to add an additional coat which made it look a lot better, still a gorgeous colour.

Next is  Pucker Up actually was opaque in 1 coat, but I usually apply 2 and this seemed to make the colour look even more rich and smooth. I don't actually have many colours like this just a couple oranges but this one looked so lovely and something I will definitely wear. Could be used as an Autumn colour but I do think we could get away with wearing it in summer.

Fusion now this polish reminded me a lot of the gothic polishes I used to have a lot of, also a colour of lipstick I would tend to wear and still do to this day. It does has a slight see through aspect to this gel polish colour which doesn't take away from the richness of the colour. I applied 2 coats and this gave full coverage without patchiness or streaking. This is my fave, I think and I can't wait to try this on my toe

That's So Mint is very pigmented and could also be a one coater, these types of colours in my mind usually take 3 coats for full opacity but this reached full opacity in 2 coats, another smooth application, and a colour I may use along with the Pucker Up and Fusion as maybe an Autumn mani or Halloween design.

Along with the polishes, I was sent 2 Mirror Chrome Kits, which has everything you need to apply the chrome powder onto the nail: applicator tool, top/base coat and 1g chrome powder, plus a handy little box to keep it all in which it comes in. These should take 60 secs to cure in a LED Lamp and there are over 20 colours available on their site https://www.wellgellondon.com/shop.

These nail gels are a new innovation in Gel they are Vegan and Chemical Free which is very unusual for gels. When opened they do have a distinctive plastic smell which could be because of the polymers they use, but not unpleasant smell none the less, in fact  a lot different than the gels I used back at nail school, they smelled like burnt strange plastic.

Chrome Kit 025 Mirror Chrome when applied to the nail it gives a very nice mirror shine, gave the nail a Hematite gemstone sort of look over black which I totally love and opal effect over white, most chrome powders I have used in the past were silver chrome and were very lovely but when applying over white I could never see the effect. I love that everything is inside a little kit ready to use all that is needed is a lamp. Application was also easy I generally have problems with applying chrome powder to my nails but with top/base coat you receive with the kit it works effortlessly with it. I am definitely going to have to get some more of these.

Mirror Chrome Kit - 030 Lantern Green I really love this one over black, the green is very shiny and pretty. I was surprised that it worked well over the colours of gel that were sent to me but I have also tried it over some nail polishes I have at home. Just like the chrome powder mirror kit; this powder was easily applied to my nails with no patches or speckles. The powders are milled very finely, with some other brands I found that the final result was grainy or dulled as soon as I applied a base coat/topcoat of gel. Instead this only enhanced the end result and the effect was breath taking. I want to try more of their colours for sure.

Curing time was very fast in fact it took 30 secs in my Melodie Suzie LED lamp. Well Gel strive to make safer and vegan friendly products to reduce smells and the use of chemicals unlike other companies that may not do this. I was very surprised by the quality of the product the gel is not clumpy, it is very smooth and glides on the nail so effortlessly the gel polishes I was sent when cured had no sticky layer and could probably be left without a top coat, but I decided to add a top coat which came with  the chrome and glitter kit so as to prevent chipping.

In conclusion if you are a person that doesn't like using a lot of chemicals in your nail applications these Ceramic Gel polishes are a very good place to start, as always when applying gel polish try not to get it on the skin and I would definitely buy from them in the future for sure. Even down to the packaging the bottle is very weighty, there are swatch spots on the top of each lid which is easier to find the colour you might be looking for. I suggest to have a look at their site they sell more products on there as well as the Diamond Topcoat which I was told about from them which I would definitely love to try.

For swatches please check out my Instagram page and don't forget to add me on there for more nail pics.

Blue Elegance Most Sinful

Hiya everyone I have been getting this blog back up to date so I appologise in advance for the late posts. This design I posted to Instagram as I have been able to upload a lot easier to there then on here after not having a PC for a while.

P.S. Primark - Ice Queen White Pointed Nails
Sinful Colors - Most Sinful
Large Gems - Revlon (designed for eyes)
Smaller Gems and Caviar Beads from Poundland
Seal Top Coat from Born Pretty Store
Cured in LED lamp

I started off with white pointed nails and painted all of them with Sinful colors most sinful this is an absolutely gorgeous colour and I feel in love with it as soon as I seen it, very rich and elegant. This would be a good one coater but I decided on two which had a great formula and dried very fast too. I then added the gems with nail glue along with the caviar beds and finally adding a topcoat of gel from born pretty store.

I hope you liked my design
